Alexandre is a very successful French architect. In the midst of a marital and creative crisis, he leaves for Italy with his wife Alienor to resume a job interrupted years earlier.

Upon arriving in Stresa, they accidentally meet two young boys, Goffredo and Lavinia, who will change the fate of their path…
