Alexandre is a successful French architect caught in the middle of both a creative and marital crisis. Hoping for a fresh start, he travels to Italy with his wife, Aliénor, to resume a project he abandoned years earlier.

But once they arrive in Stresa, a chance encounter with two young siblings, Goffredo and Lavinia, begins to quietly reshape the course of their lives.
