The Platz, one of Europe’s largest slums, has stood along the banks of the Stura River in Turin for many years.
A decommissioning project is bearing down on the community of more than a thousand people that inhabits it. In a labyrinthine immersion, Memories of the River portrays the last months of the Platz’s existence, amid tears, drama, hopes, life.
