An endless night underground. Patrizia, the only female miner in Italy, carries on an intimate dialogue with her dead father — a memory she has never managed to bury.

Around her, 150 miners — the last of their kind — are ready to go to war with the world above in a desperate attempt to stop the mine from shutting down for good.

Then, from 500 meters below sea level, deep in the darkness of the earth, a mysterious voice begins to rise from the depths.
