Alma Doble is the encounter of two souls brought together by tango. Gustavo Beytelmann — one of the most important living tango composers and musicians, collaborator of Astor Piazzolla and later of Gotan Project — meets Silvia Vladimivsky, a renowned Argentine choreographer.

Together, they revisit their past and the different paths they took during the dark years of the Argentine dictatorship: Gustavo forced into exile in Paris, Silvia remaining in Buenos Aires, where she took part in the cultural resistance movement Teatro Abierto.

From this exchange of memories and emotions, Silvia creates a choreography set to Gustavo’s musical score.
